Magnetic field sensors
Magnetic field sensors are used for the measurement of weak magnetic fields, which are typically lower than 3 kA/m. Characteristic for those sensors is on the one hand that their output signal is to a large extent linear. On the other hand polarity of the signal depends on the magnetic field direction (see illustration).

The sensitivity and width of the working area is determined by an auxiliary field, which is produced by an additional auxiliary magnet.

MEAS Deutschland GmbH offers sensors with built-in magnets for standard applications.

Typical application areas for this kind of sensors are the detection and/or position recognition of permanent magnets in relatively large distances. A half-bridge sensor with integrated auxiliary magnet is available for seizing fast changes in magnetic fields. Our KMZ 20 and KMY 20 Series are based on our MR 174B-Chip, whose characteristic curve is shown above.
